Making Cartoons

I’m so excited to finally announce that I have another project up and running!  Over the next several months, I’m going to be joining forces with my friend (and incredible artist) Michael Greenholt and several of our talented friends to make an animated music video.  One of our very favorite artists, Nick Jaina, is letting us use one of the songs from his new album as the soundtrack to an animated short.  You can listen to and download the album here.

I’ll be talking about the project from time to time on this blog, but if you want to follow along with the production, I’ll be blogging about it at http:weekendobsession.blogspot.com.

See you there!  MUAH!

2 O’clock Critics and Toy Story 3

It’s no secret that I have a crush on Pixar.  And…most animation in general.

I think it started with a small to medium sized crush on Dimitry from “Anastasia” when I was 15 and ended around…mumble mumble…

Today, my crush on animation has developed in to something way more mature and lasting. It’s like, if Pixar were human, man or woman, I don’t care, I would want to have its babies.

I even danced with John Lasseter once.  It was dreamy.  He kissed me on the cheek afterward.  But it wasn’t all creepy or anything, his wife was watching from like ten feet away… which does not make it sound less creepy.

*ehem*

Back to the point.

Here is our most recent review of the most recent animated movie to be released (which just HAPPENS to be produced by Pixar) Toy Story 3.  Be prepared for greatness.  And also at least one biased opinion.

*******WARNING! SPOILERS!********

Don’t watch this video if you like walking in to a theater knowing nothing about a movie.  Feel free to come back and watch it afterwards though :)
