About Laura Jane

I live and work in LA – a city I used to hate, but now kind of love.

I’m married to a guy I met at a bookstore and I have a dog named Spaghetti.

Here is an incomplete list of things I like:
narwhals
sock monkeys
birds
most people

Here is a list of things I do, but only sometimes:
brew beer
watch movies
read books
collect elephants with my sister
bake
take pictures
travel

Here is a nearly comprehensive list of things I absolutely hate:
patchouli
that song by Owl City
misused apostrophes
the parrots in Sierra Madre, CA

  1. Hyperbole is practically essential to good blogging!

Love what I’ve read so far. You’ve been blogrolled and I’ll be back.

  2. Omigosh! I just checked your Facebook page.

I graduated from Truman State when it was still NMSU!

The internet has seriously shrunk the world.

  3. Okay, I’m really sorry, but if you won’t be using metaphors, I really don’t know if I’ll be able to continue this peeping-tom relationship with your life…

  4. Hello!

I am reading your blog right now and am having a heck of a time planning a budget wedding in LA! I would greatly appreciate a little guidance. Where the heck is Grayson Gardens? LOL I think I need a bath.

I hope you will reply. I cannot find any info online (which is SUPER ODD).

    • I just went to the website for Grayson Gardens and it’s been taken down!!!! I’m kind of in shock right now. I’m going to email the contact at the site and see what’s going on. They were at http://www.lagardenweddings.com.

I would love to talk about wedding planning-ness. My friend Beck over at cheekypinky.wordpress.com is really the expert. Shoot me an email any time. I’m at roarajane@gmail.com. (I’ll put that on my about page, that’s a good thought.)
